Here you will find the summaries of the projects we worked on this year.

 

 

 

Mini Project

Linear Equations

 

 

Linear Equations:

y=mx+b ---> Slope form

y=b ---> Horizantal Line

x= a ---> Vertical Line

Ax+Bx=C ---> General/Standard Form

y-y1=m(x-x1) ---> Point Slope Form

x/a + y/b = 1 ---> Intercept form

In the Linear equations mini project we had the chose to make an artisitc piece or a mathmatical piece. I chose to do the artistic piece and drew a picture. In the project we had to find a way to encorperate all the equations (above) in the creative piece. I drew a cabin in the woods and some of the lines to make up the picture are linear equation lines.

Exam Project

 

The Exam Project for the end of the semester was unique. We, the students had the chance to create our own final exam. The project consisted of creating questions from throughout the year that we have learned and worked on. We catagorized the questions that we came up with to go into the test. Each student had to come up with 10 questions and we cut them all down to 60 questions that were fit for the exam.

 

My streangth in this project was the fact that I could practice the questions on the exam by writing similar problems myself. It helped in the long run.

 

My weekness in this project would have been that my questions never had a chance to get into the exam because they were turned in past the date that they had to be catagorized for the exam.
